Introducing: Bankz

Bankz is a DJ, Producer, Writer, and Studio Engineer who has worked with the talents of Arz, Morrison, Tyreezy, Mastermind, Tays and more. He is known for his production work on UK rap bangers like Arz’s ‘Losing My Mind’ (2.41M Spotify Streams) and Morrison’s ‘Balaclava’ (1.19M Spotify Streams, 1.3M Youtube Views, 2.9M Tik Tok Views). He also produced Manchester's newest star Tays’ hit tracks like ‘Perfect Girl’ (440k Spotify Streams) which Clash Magazine hails, ‘effortlessly blend[s] together R&B and UK rap elements.’ 

Originating from the North West of London, Bankz's life was immersed in music from an early age. He discovered his love of music playing instruments at church and began engineering the church’s performances. This inspired Bankz to study music production at college, which allowed him to start collaborating with other creatives and artists. Meanwhile, his uncle began teaching him how to DJ and he played weddings and events to earn some extra cash. Out of Uni and having moved to Manchester, Bankz moved into northern creative circles working with an early NQ Records signing, Vee, collaborating with current NQ signee & producer Whyjay and regularly running into NQ CEO, Michael Adex. Seeing his talent and drive, Bankz caught the attention of Adex and NQ. He signed a publishing deal with NQ Publishing in May 2021. 

In addition to his successful producing, Bankz is an accomplished performer, singer, and DJ. He was hand selected to open for Aitch on his 2022 Close to Home Tour. Since then, he has popular DJ nights around Manchester and showcased his vocal talents on ‘Be My Lover’, a collaboration with Nigerian-born singer and rapper, Dámì Sule.
